Pat, Adeline, and I took a lovely walk yesterday morning. The fact that the geese have begun to return to Minnesota is yet another sign that Spring is really here.

She's Growing Up!
I can tell that Adeline's 4th Birthday is right around the corner because she's more and more independent with each passing day. This morning she picked out her own outfit, dressed herself, and even packed her own lunch (I checked it just to be sure she didn't forget anything...but she did a great job). Such a big girl!

Well Hello Grass...We Sure Have Missed You!
It's amazing what good a couple 40 or 50 degree sunny March days can do...we can actually see patches of grass in our yard. It gives us hope that sometime soon it will all be melted away and all we'll be left with will be the bad memories of one very cold and snowy Winter.

Timberwolves Game
We are now in the midst of Braden's birthday week...and since McLaughlin's don't typically devote just one day to the celebration of becoming a year older, we have been trying to do something fun every day this week.
Last night, that something fun was a trip to watch the T-Wolves play. Pat took the big kids and their friend Sydney to cheer the home team on to a victory.

Hockey Jamboree
Buddy played in a 3 game jamboree this weekend to mark the end of the 2013-2014 hockey season. That was him taking the face-off in one of yesterday's 2 games. His team had a good season and an especially impressive tournament showing; winning two games and tying one. Over the three games they put in 11 goals and only allowed 3.
He had lots of fans in the stands this weekend. Grandma Ginger attended both games on Saturday, the Kay Family as well as Careline's soccer Coach Todd, Greta, and Sydney cheered him on yesterday morning, and Grandma Ellen went to today's super early 7 am match-up.
Buddy's biggest littlest fan is hereby awarded to Adeline.

An Afternoon of Pampering

The Little Mommy
Adeline has really been into playing with her dolls lately. I love the ingenious way she used one of my belts to strap the girl dolly to her waist so she could carry the boy dolly in her other hand and still have one hand free. Us Moms have to be creative!

Music Program
Careline and Braden had a music program at school on Thursday night. It was an honor for each of them to be chosen out our their entire grade of students to welcome the audience to the program. Braden did particularly well at the microphone. He spoke loud and clear and looked quite dashing in his suit and tie. Unfortunately, we were so far back that I was unable to get a video of him.
This video was one of the songs Careline and her fellow 4th grade students sang in which she had a musical part.
