Another Soccer Game For Addy

Adeline played soccer again tonight.  It's so dang cute watching her and the other little girls kick and chase the ball around the field all bunched up in a pack.  I tell you, she has a smile on her face from ear to ear from the moment the game begins until the second it ends.  She's still looking for her first goal of the year but she almost scored tonight (once for her team and once on her own goal - ha ha).

I love this time of year.  We finally have some decent weather, the days are getting longer, and every time I check my flower beds another beauty is in bloom.

This weekend Careline is filling in for a team one year older than herself and is playing in a tournament in Blaine.  I think the team she joined for the weekend was quite happy they invited her to play as she scored a hat trick and made an awesome passing assist in their 4 to 3 victory over a team from North Dakota.

Tonight Buddy played his first game of the 2014 baseball season.  This year is the first year he is playing kid pitch.  He did quite well the inning he pitched.  He allowed 2 base hits, walked one, and struck out 3 to get out of the inning without allowing any runs.

As always, he did well at the plate too.  He got a base hit each time he was up to bat and was the only boy on his team to score a run.

Adeline played in her first official soccer game tonight.  Even though she was probably the smallest one out there (something her Sister is used to) she held her own and did quite well.

Careline is thoroughly convinced that whenever she braids her hair into pigtails the Wild win.  She's putting her theory to the test half an hour from now when the Wild take on the Chicago Blackhawks in a must win situation.  Go Wild!

Dueling Recorders

Careline and Buddy got new recorders today.  Wonder how long it will take me to get used to the annoyingly loud shrieking noises.  Pat had heard enough about 2 minutes after the first note had been played.  I take that back, it was 2 seconds.

Tulip

Just in time for Mother's Day, my first tulip of 2014 opened up yesterday.  At least another dozen aren't too far behind and will surely brighten up and beautify the yard.

Summer Soccer Begins

The Packers are off to a great start for the season as they defeated Hastings tonight at home by the score of 3 to nothing.  I'm excited to watch the girls as the season progresses as tonight they played more in sync with one another than I've ever seen them play before. 

Adeline's First Soccer Practice

Let the craziness REALLY begin because as of tonight all three kids are participating in athletics.  She played shy to begin her first soccer practice but with the comfort of her Brother sticking close to her side she quickly became confident and enjoyed herself.

The Kentucky Derby

David and Krista are in Kentucky this weekend to witness the most exciting two minutes in sports, The Kentucky Derby.  How cute do they look?!  Krista reports that Churchill Downs has the best people watching ever.
