Washington County Fair

It's hard to believe that it's County Fair time already.  Why do the Summer's have to go by so quickly?!   Grandma Ellen joined the kids and I this afternoon at the Washington County Fair where we had all sorts of fun. 

 

We were treated to an awesome stunt show by some amazing BMX bikers.  You definitely do not want to try this at home!

Jamboree Weekend

It sure was a busy past few days around here with both the soccer and baseball Jamborees falling on this weekend.  We couldn't have asked for better weather for a weekend that was spent entirely outdoors.

 

Adeline was so excited to receive her very first medal.  I'm guessing that she'll wear that around her neck for at least the next few days.  She should be proud of herself.  She was the youngest and the smallest one out there yet she was one of her teams leading scorers (imagine that). 

 

 

Buddy finished his first year of kid pitch baseball.  It was so much fun to watch him play this Summer as he truly is an excellent little athlete.

 

Careline was a happy camper this weekend too.  Although she didn't have any games of her own, she was the Assistant Coach for a young boys team and she worked the concession stand almost the entire tournament.

Congratulations to Careline and her SSP Packer teammates for finishing the Summer season with 8 wins 0 losses and 1 tie.  Way to go girls!

Jamboree Week

It's Jamboree Week here in SSP which means a whole lot of soccer and baseball will be played between now and Sunday.  In addition to the games Addy and Buddy played tonight they each will play 4 more games before the week is over.

 

Careline's season is also coming to a close.  She has one final Summer game tomorrow night in River Falls.

Our Amphibian Friend

With all of the rain we've had this Summer we've noticed an increased amount of frogs.  This one actually has made residence on our deck.  

Kickball

 

The Kay's live in a super fun neighborhood.  They often get together with their neighbors for cookouts, cocktails on the driveway, swimming, bonfires,...  Yesterday, they were kind enough to include us in their 1st Annual Neighborhood Kickball tournament.  A fun time was had by all!

Daddy's Softball Game

It's not often these days that the kids and I are able to head to the ballpark to watch Daddy play softball as usually someone or another has a game or practice.  Tonight our calendar was clear except for Daddy's game so we went and cheered his team on to a lopsided victory.
