Friends After All These Years

Buddy and Lily-bug have been friends since the day they met.  They don't see each other quite as often these days as they did when they hung out together at Judy and DJ's daycare but when they do, like today unexpectedly at the Dentist office, it's always a treat.

We rented the ice this afternoon (no way I was having twelve 10 year old boys at my house) and the boys played hockey for an hour.  A special Thank You goes out to cousin Daniel for playing goalie.  Braden and his friends really had a good time shooting on a "big boy".  Like a nice Cousin...Daniel even let a few pucks past him.

District Tournament Champions

Congratulations to Daniel and his Irish teammates on an awesome season which ended yesterday with a shutout victory to take the district tournament championship.

Braden and I were in the stands to cheer for Daniel's team. There was a cool moment when it was announced in the arena that it was Braden's birthday and everybody cheered.  Buddy turned bright red but had a huge smile on his face.  Thanks Aunie for making that memorable moment happen.

Buddy's New Short Hair

Buddy's been wanting really short hair for a while now and yesterday, when Daddy took him to the shop, short hair is what he got.  Just like Pat, Braden has super thick hair, so the picture makes it look longer than it actually is.  To give you an idea of how short it looks in person, today his classmates asked him if he signed up for the military over the weekend. 

4th Grade Music Concert

The 4th Graders put on a music concert tonight in the jam packed performance area.  Here he is looking all handsome with neighbor Inga after the concert.  I assure you that Buddy is not a midget, he's just a little shorter than average for boys his age.  Inga, on the other hand, is one tall girl.  We're hoping that he grows in the coming years, otherwise they're going to look a little funny at prom.
