Happy Bonus Day of 2016

 

 

If you're looking for a good way to spend this extra day of 2016 may I suggest that you go see the movie Eddie The Eagle today or sometime soon.  Pat, Braden, and I saw it in the theater yesterday and it is fabulous!  It's the true story of Great British fellow who dreamt his entire life of making it to the Olympics and didn't stop training hard until that dream became a reality.  The Olympics were always an event the family looked forward to watching together in the Carel household as I grew up, so this is not just a good story, it's one that brings back happy memories.

 

Record Breaking Warmth

I believe it made it to 60 degrees today, smashing a very old record for this date in history.  Gotta love it when you can ride your bike next to the little snow that's left here in MN on a February afternoon wearing a t-shirt!

Happy Valentine's Day

3rd Place

 

Buddy and his teammates brought home the 3rd Place trophy from Eveleth this weekend.  While in Eveleth we visited the US Hockey Hall of Fame and posed in front of the Worlds Largest Hockey Stick with their trophy.

 

Happy Groundhog Day

 

Since I haven't seen any groundhog artwork yet this year I'm posting an oldie but a goodie.

Word is that good ole Phil did not see his shadow so we're in for an early Spring.  After today's "Storm of the Century" I know that I'll be ready for that!
