A Fond Farewell For My Dear Friend Mary

My Dear Friend Mary, who retired from MSRS nearly 5 years ago, is moving out to Oregon next month with her husband (better known by her as The Mister) to be near her only son, Daughter-In-Law, beautiful Granddaughter, and Grandson (arriving in July). 


A group of us former co-workers couldn't stand to let Mary go without giving her a proper send-off...one last get-together in Minnesota.  Connie hosted a lovely evening filled with tasty drinks, delicious food, and lots of time to chat and laugh with one another over fond memories.


You may be leaving the state Mary...but you will never leave my heart or the hearts of the many, many friends who treasure your friendship!

Uncle Bruce and Aunt Priscilla went to three live tapings of America's game show a while back.  Those tapings aired the past three nights.  Last night during the closing credits when the camera  panned the audience the two of them can be (partially) seen in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Track Meet

Thank goodness it was such a nice day outside as Careline and her track teammates had their first official meet of the year this afternoon at Sibley.  She competed in the hurdles, the 4x200 meter, the 200 meter run, and the long jump.    Here she is making her jump.  Not quite Carl Lewis form, but she was happy with her distance of 9 ft 11 inches.

The Wiggles

If you have kids you know that The Wiggles are a group of grown men who drive around town in their Big Red Car acting silly and singing songs.

 

Here's Pat in the rental vehicle he was issued for his work trip out of town.  He wasn't too thrilled about it....but I totally think he should apply to be the 5th member of The Wiggles.

A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood

It's been a bit gloomy and on the cooler side lately so I was totally not expecting the sunny and fabulous day we were treated to today.  The early Spring flowers that have popped up in the front flower bed mean that more flowers aren't far behind.  Yeah!  Pat and I made the most of this gorgeous day by taking a nearly 7 mile walk.  Hope you were able to get outside and enjoy this day too!
