Giants Ballpark Tour & Game

Yesterday was another fun filled day in the Bay Area for the hubby and myself.  Our day started with a tour of AT & T Park, the home of the San Francisco Giants.  We enjoy taking ballpark tours when we're vacationing as you get to go to many areas inside of the ballpark that are normally off limits.

Our TWINS have a gorgeous stadium back home, but the Giants have a mighty pretty place to play at as well.

Giants fans hold Willie Mays near and dear to their hearts.  Throughout the facility there are tributes to him, including the 24 palm trees planted outside the main entrance to the facility (he was #24).

Here's Pat and I sitting in the visitors dugout.

The view from our seats.  The Giants beat the Padres 7 to 2.

Whenever a Giant hit a home run water shot out of the columns.  Several dingers were hit last night.

Spectators arrive to the ballpark using many modes of transportation, including ferry boats.

Isn't technology great?!  We were able to face-time with the kids while at the ballpark so they could see where Mommy and Daddy were.

Between the tour and the game we did some more sightseeing in this fabulous town.  This is Chinatown.

And here's the church where Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe had their wedding photos taken

As I type this, we're sitting in the airport waiting to board our flight home.  We had a wonderful trip.  Over the 5 days we were here we put 55 miles on foot, ate some terrific local foods, saw some amazing sights, and just plain had fun.  I'll post one last entry tomorrow with photos from today of our visit to Lombard Street, the crookedest and one of the steepest streets in America.
