Today would have been Grandpa Jerry's 77th birthday. He really looked forward to his birthday because A) Birthday's mean presents (and Jer LOVED presents), B) The mailbox was sure to be filled with birthday cards (bonus if they contained a scratch off), but most important of all C) Grandpa knew that his family would all be together to celebrate (and to Jer, having his family all together was priceless).
Tonight we're meeting for a family dinner at DiGidio's in St Paul, one of Jer's favorite spots, where I'm sure many fond memories of Grandpa Jerry will be shared.
