Kaposia Days Weekend

It was Kaposia Days this weekend here in lovely South St Paul.  The fun began Friday evening with the parade. 

 

Our Priest is pretty cool.  Here he is wearing his crocs and riding his motorized scooter in the parade.

There was more fun to be had on Saturday at the family fun day festivities.  The kids each rode a miniature horse, played fun games, met up with friends, played BINGO (Buddy won $14), and had their faces painted.  It was such a fun and busy weekend that none of us saved up enough energy to go to the Sunday night fireworks.  Not to worry, there will be plenty of chances to see fireworks on  the 4th of July.  Can you believe that the 4th is on Friday already?!

Although Adeline can't really read the words on the written page quite yet, she often picks up a book and tells a story aloud based on the pictures. 

School's Out For Summer!

Although Buddy and Careline both really like school they were quite excited that today was the last day of school for the year.  They are now official 3rd and 4th grade graduates!

A Busy Night Of Sports

Simultaneously tonight Adeline had a soccer game on one side of town and Buddy played baseball on the other side of town.  She had her best game yet and scored 6 goals! 

After her game we buzzed over to catch part of Buddy's game.  He had a good night at the plate and pitched a couple innings.
  

Birthday Celebration

Tonight we headed over to the Kay's to celebrate Daniel's upcoming 14th birthday with some nummy birthday cake. 

Adeline's First Goal

Addy scored her very first soccer goal tonight.  She was quite proud of herself...and we were proud of her too!  If she turns out anything like her Sister, tonight's goal was just the first of many.

Cheering Her Sister On

Adeline has spent her lifetime bouncing around from one sporting event to another yet amazingly she is still her Sister and Brother's biggest little fan.  Here she was last night atop her Daddy's shoulders cheering Careline on to a 11-1 soccer victory.

Another Tournament Another Hat Trick!

This weekend Careline and her teammates played in a tournament in Bloomington.  For the second time in less than a week she earned herself a hat trick in Friday's game versus Lakeville.  The girls went on to win that game 6 to 3.  The girls suffered their first loss of the season in their second game of the tournament and the third game was called just after halftime due to lightning.
